January 15, 2021, The Mars Society President Dr. Robert Zubrin spoke online with members of the new Mars Society Kenya Chapter about humans-to-Mars.

The meeting was informative and the members got the gist of the initiative.

Our goal is to promote the space economy in the country with the mission of having Kenyans (humanity) settle on Mars so as to advance terraforming the Red Planet.

In recognition of this important milestone, Mars Society Kenya was later awarded with the Official Chapter Recognition Letter.

Following the launch event, Mars Society Kenya held a consultative meeting with representatives from both the Technical University of Kenya (Dr. Constant Adero) and the Kenya Space Agency (Lt. Col. Andrew Nyawade) where we finalized on the Agreement on collaboration and membership. This paved way for willing members to join and also kickstarted our activities.
